by the way, i love caves. missouri, state of my childhood, holds some sort of national title in terms of both quantity and quality. i took this for granted for the entirety of my upbringing, especially in lieu of my father being an architect for the parks system. caves were like same shit, different day. stalagtites and mites. tom sawyer. bats. salamanders. ho hum. and now it must be 15 years since i've seen or been inside one.
